Ice Cream Tasting Goodness with #PrestigeIceCream by Winn-Dixie

My best friend lives overseas.  Every time she comes visit, all she wants is ice cream.  She can't get enough of it.  She arrived Saturday and I had envisioned a "Top your Favorite Ice Cream" get together to welcome her.  I drove over to Winn-Dixie, who sponsors this post, to get the chocolate bits, the sprinkles, cookies and other toppings plus nothing less than #PrestigeIceCream for our themed afternoon.

I then realized that the Prestige Ice Cream brand has new flavors.  These new flavors changed my theme immediately to "Ice Cream Tasting".  That is because I could not decide on one or two flavors only, and I also thought it would be fun to try and see if anyone could taste the flavors or ingredients to each ice cream (other than milk, cream or sugar).

I went for the first four plus my friend's fave: Homestyle Butter Pecan.

I covered the labels of the ice cream, and brought out first three flavors, and then two more.  I did this because it is summer and it is too hot for the ice cream to wait for all of our comments about them. I offered everyone to have a taste of the ice cream and try and tell me the name it or the ingredients that popped out.  Then they were invited to enjoy as much as they could of their favorite flavors.

It was so much fun!  Honestly the new flavors are amazing.  This is definitively a batch made for true dessert foodies with refined palates in search of items made out of real and quality ingredients.

Coconut Almond Fudge and Salted Caramel Truffle took the standing ovation while French Quarter Praline and Milk Chocolate got mmmmmmmm's and yummmmmmm's.  Butter Pecan got "awwwwww, remember that day when....."

The new Prestige flavors will soon be accompanied by:

•  Six varieties of Prestige fruit bars, all made with 100 percent real fruit.  Flavors include Mango Fruit, Pina Colada, Raspberry, Strawberry, Caribbean Fruit and Strawberry Colada.
• Six varieties of gelato including Bananas Foster, White Chocolate Raspberry, Tiramisu, Caramel Sea Salt, Italian Cookie Crunch and Coconut

I am now thinking how I can combine fruit bars and gelatos to add creations to accompany my  Prestige Ice Cream Sandwiches,  any ideas?
